syslog

Message par markherring » 14 avril 2016, 17:30

Hi,

I have reconfigured the rsyslog.conf file per the documentation so it now has:-

# Provides UDP syslog reception
$ModLoad imudp
$UDPServerRun 514

# Provides TCP syslog reception
$ModLoad imtcp
$InputTCPServerRun 514

I have restarted the service but in the syslog tab in cacti I do not see anything other than logs for the localhost. If I run a tail -f /var/log/messages I can see syslog messages arriving. Can anyone suggest what might be wrong?

Regards,

mark

It's a mistake about rsyslog.conf...

Change at the end:

Code : Tout sélectionner

*.warn >localhost,cacti...
by

Code : Tout sélectionner

*.warn :ommysql:localhost,cacti...
restart rsyslog, enjoy ;)

Hi,

I can't see the line *.warn >localhost,cacti... in my rsyslog.conf file.
here is my rsyslog.conf :

Look at the message :

"Hi,

You have the default eyesofnetwork configuration !
